Hedychium garnerianum is one of my favorite gingers due to its late flowering (no other gingers in our garden bloom as late), very thick stems (it doesn't fall over like many other gingers), its stunning pale yellow, extremely fragrant flowers that open in mass on each stem and very dark green leaves.
